Veronika has coordinated and worked in several EU and national funded projects in the area of migration and integration. She has worked on several comparative studies and produced several publications in the areas of immigration- and antidiscrimination policies, migration statistics, irregular migration, human smuggling and human trafficking.
Veronika Bilger is a member of the Network of Excellence International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion (IMISCOE), funded by the EC under the 6 Framework Programme; since 2005 lecturer at the University of Vienna; member of the editorial board of the Viennese Journal of Critical African Studies and trained teacher for German as a Second Language/alphabetization.
Veronika holds a university degree in African Studies with a focus on Social, Gender and Development Studies at University of Vienna and University of Naples. Postgraduate Program at the International Women‘s University “Technology and Culture”, Hanover.
