A graduate in European and International Affairs from the Rennes Institute for Political Studies as well as in Global Studies from the University of Vienna/Leipzig University, Alexis’ expertise spans various areas including international migration frameworks, international cooperation and fundamental rights in migrant return and readmission processes, migration research-to-policy interactions, as well as migration flows and governing frameworks in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Prior to joining the ICMPD’s research unit in September 2023, Alexis worked for the ICMPD’s Mediterranean region since 2017, holding various policy-related responsibilities in the EUROMED IV and V programmes and driving content development with respect to North Africa and the Middle East. Alexis is currently conducting research in the framework of the Horizon Europe FAiR and INNOVATE research projects.
