Labour market integration trajectories of refugee women (FIMAS+Women)

 

Research objectives

The project FIMAS+Women constitutes the fifth wave of the FIMAS longitudinal study on integration trajectories of refugees in Austria. The aim of the FIMAS project series is to follow and study integration processes of refugees and beneficiaries of subsidiary protection. The particular focus of the project FIMAS+Women is to examine the situation of refugee women with regard to their prospects of labour market integration. 

Summary

The project consists of the implementation of a survey among refugees in Austria. The survey sample includes 2,300 recognized refugees and beneficiaries of subsidiary protection of working age from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran; interviews are conducted online and via telephone. A research report will present findings on the factors influencing the labour market integration of refugee women.
