Melina Koumides

Melina has extensive professional experience in implementing and coordinating project activities, currently serving as Programme Assistant at ICMPD’s Research Unit, where she is involved in project implementation, communication and visibility activities, as well as assist in recruitment and procurement processes.

Previously, as an Event & Project Manager at Eurozine, she facilitated collaboration among over 90 cultural journals, organized conferences in different countries around Europe, and managed communications strategies to enhance visibility. Her earlier roles include supporting project administration and event organization at Radio Afrika TV and interning at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), where she handled archival projects and contributed to exhibitions.

Melina holds an MA in Historical and Cultural European Research from the University of Vienna; she also studied at the Sciences Po in Strasbourg and holds a BA in International Politics and French from Aberystwyth University. She is fluent in German and English and speaks Greek and French.
