Evaluation of RAXEN national reports
ICMPD was commissioned several times by the The European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) to conduct peer reviews for the national reports produced by the RAXEN network, composed of National Focal Points (NFPs) in each EU Member State. Through the RAXEN network the EUMC (and now it’s successor the Fundamental Rights Agency – FRA) each year draws together from the EU Member States a collection of data on the phenomena and manifestations of racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism.
The peer review for each of those national reports addressed the extent and quality of presented national data, their comprehensiveness and their relevance. The peer review resulted in substantial improvements in the quality and coverage of the country studies submitted.
