Pilot study: Integration processes of recently arrived immigrants (LEGINT)

Pilotstudie – Integrationsverläufe von NeuzuwanderInnen (LEGINT)

Against the background of a lack of longitudinal data in the area of migration and integration research, the study discusses the feasibility of a panel survey among recently arrived immigrants in Austria. The study presents a research design that can be used to regularly survey integration trajectories of recent immigrants over time. Alternative and complementary designs for data analyses are also discussed. Establishing a panel survey on integration would be a highly relevant long-term project based on an innovative research design and could provide timely data and analyses on a topic of growing importance.
