Education: Daniel holds a MSc. in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh and a BA in Political Science from the University of Vienna, which included a year and a half of study abroad in Central America.
Relevant experience and expertise: Before joining ICMPD, Daniel completed traineeships with the Permanent Mission of Costa Rica to the International Organizations in Vienna, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education. During his studies he conducted research on topics of Global Organized Crime, International Security, Contemporary War and Migration.
Research interests: Drug and Human Trafficking, Sustainable Development, Migration Management, EU Foreign Policy.
