Education: holds an MA (Mag.) and a PhD (Dr. Phil.) in Sociology from the University of Vienna.
Relevant experience and expertise: He has been involved in several projects at ICMPD, primarily focusing on migration and integration statistics, irregular migration and discrimination, including the projects 'Promoting quantitative comparative research in the field of migration and integration in Europe' (PROMINSTAT), 'Fundamental Rights of Irregular Immigrants' (FRIM), the Yearbook on irregular migration in the CEE region and several other projects. He is a member of the IMISCOE Research Network (International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe) and also teaches as an external lecturer at the University of Vienna.
Research interests: Migration and integration statistics and data availability, irregular migration, sociology of migration, discrimination, naturalisation and citizenship.
