Relevant experience and expertise:
Christina Hollomey since 2007 works as a research assistant in several national and EU funded projects at ICMPD, after she had joined ICMPD as a student assistant in 2005. The thematic foci of her work at ICMPD involve integration and anti-discrimination, irregular migration and fundamental rights of irregular migrants, in particular in regard to health care. Since 2008 she is lecturer at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology of the University of Vienna. In spring 2008 she was assigned for one semester as visiting scholar at the Anthropology Department of the Middle East Technical University of Ankara (METU).
Christina Hollomey is a member of the Network of Excellence International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion (IMISCOE), funded by the EC under the 6 Framework Programme.
Research interests: Integration, religion, multiculturalism, and irregular migration.
